Peristaltic pumps
A peristaltic pump is a hose pump that works with two shoes mounted at 180° on a rotating wheel that compress successively a reinforced rubber hose that contains the product to be pumped. The compression of the hose by the rotating shoes creates continuous suction at the inlet of the pump and pushes the product to the outlet of the pump.
The pump casing contains a food grade lubricant that reduces friction and insures the best pump performance. The pumped product is in contact only with the interior of the rubber hose, thus also permitting the pumping of a wide variety of reactive products.
One pump covers a big capacity range since the flow of the pump is in direct linear relation to the speed of the pump.
Application
Pump for transfer, emptying or taking samples of viscous and/or abrasive products. The pump is also suitable for sheer sensitive media and liquids containing fragile ingredients.
Examples of products; fruit concentrate, tomato sauce, mashed potatoes, egg white & yolk, natural flavouring, cream, milk and yogurt, water & salt mixtures, fats, gelatine. Etc
